From Hunting to Precision Rifle Competitions

My journey with firearms began at a young age, hunting in both the Texas Hill Country and South Texas. From early mornings in the deer blind to long treks across rugged terrain, I learned the fundamentals of marksmanship through hands-on experience—tracking game, reading wind, and making clean, ethical shots. Those early days taught me patience, discipline, and a deep respect for the craft.

In 2017, I stepped into the world of competitive shooting with my first match: the Vortex Ultimate Challenge. I teamed up with my longtime friend Ryan Adams, and we finished near the bottom of the leaderboard. We learned so much in that first match, and discovered the Precision Rifle Series. But instead of easing in with a local one-day match, we dove straight into a two-day Precision Rifle Series event—without knowing what to expect. The people we met and the welcoming, tight-knit community immediately stood out. I was hooked.

Over the next few years, I dabbled in PRS matches when time allowed, steadily learning the ropes and refining my skills. In 2020, I decided to go all in—and that same year, I won my first match. Since then, I’ve won 18 matches and earned over 50 top 10 finishes in national and regional competitions. Each one represents a step forward in a journey defined by dedication, persistence, and a constant drive to improve.

In 2024, I capped off that progress by earning my first Top 10 PRS bullet for the 2024 season—an achievement that reflects the years of focus and growth since those early days.

Today, I combine decades of hunting experience with national-level competition success. You can view my full match results here. Whether in the field or on the clock, I'm constantly striving to push my limits—and help others do the same through training, competition, and mentorship.
